Former NBA champion Glen “Big Baby” Davis has officially been released from federal prison. According to The Athletic, Davis was released after serving 17 months of a 40-month sentence following his conviction for his role in a scheme to defraud the NBA’s Health and Welfare Benefit Plan. Upon his release, the former Celtics big man shared a video on social media with a characteristic “I’m back, baby” message. While his time behind bars is over, Davis will now transition to a Long Beach Residential Reentry Management Office, aka a New York halfway house, until July 9, 2026. His stay will include “financial management classes and drug treatment.” He will also serve three years of supervised release. Several NBA players were indicted in the scheme Along with Davis, several other former players were charged under the federal indictment. Darius Miles, Milt Palacio, Eddie Robinson, Ruben Patterson, Antoine Wright, Jamario Moon, Christopher Douglas-Roberts, Charles Watson Jr., Anthony Wroten, Alan Anderson, and Gregory Smith. Former New Jersey Nets player Terrence Williams, who prosecutors claim came up with the scam, was sentenced to 10 years in prison in 2023. After a standout collegiate tenure at LSU, Davis was the 2006 SEC Player of the Year. He led the Tigers to the Final Four, and Davis was selected 35th overall in the 2007 NBA Draft. He immediately traded to the Boston Celtics, where he became a major contributor. Davis helped the legendary “Big Three” era secure the 2008 NBA Championship in his rookie season. Following four seasons in Boston, he signed a significant deal with the Orlando Magic. In Orlando, he reached his statistical peak. He averaged a career-high 15.1 points and 7.2 rebounds during the 2012–13 season. Davis finished his NBA career with the Los Angeles Clippers. He retired with career averages of 8.0 points and 4.4 rebounds across 514 regular-season games.

Why is it motherfckers that ain’t got no hits, ain’t accomplished nothing, how the fck are they getting in these rooms I ain’t getting in. They encompass world-class hotels, high-end dining, live performance venues, and a 20,000-seat stadium aimed at drawing global talent. “I got the connections to get the best chefs,” Snoop told the Mirror. “I got connections with businessmen who can finance world class hotels and clubs.” For Snoop, the initiative reflects both his celebrity leverage and his seasoned business acumen. It also builds on years of success across music, sports, and media. Swansea offers unique advantages for this kind of development. Jack Harlow’s ‘Got Blacker’ Remark Triggers Viral Nickname Frenzy
Jack Harlow’s return after a three-year break is testing both expectations and patience. The Louisville rapper has stepped away from the pop-rap sound that initially propelled him into mainstream success. He is diving instead into the moody, intimate currents of neo-soul and R&B. His new album, Monica, embraces this sonic shift fully. While some longtime fans are unsettled by the change, Harlow seems committed to following his own artistic instincts. Ahead of the release, Harlow appeared on The New York Times podcast Popcast, joining hosts Jon Caramanica and Joe Coscarelli to reflect on his career path. He noted that, unlike some of his white contemporaries, he “didn’t fall into that safer landing spot that a lot of my white contemporaries have found.” While he did not name names, listeners inferred he was alluding to artists like MGK and Post Malone. These artists have explored genres traditionally associated with white audiences, including punk and country. “I think I love Black music. I love the sound of Black music… Of course, it appealed to me to do something that I felt like, at a time when there’s plenty of people expecting me to take some of the routes that y’all are taking, to take the route that not only might not be expected but is also the one I genuinely want to take. So, all the stars aligned in that way for me, to be honest,” Harlow explained. Viral jokes meet a bold new sound: Harlow’s latest moves The comments quickly sparked a mix of critique and playful ridicule online. On X, users created inventive nicknames for Harlow, twisting iconic Black artists’ names into “whiter” versions, according to Bossip. Examples include Charlie Kirk Franklin, Brian McWhite, Stevie Wonderbread, J’Nilla, Arnold Kelly, and Mos Definitely Not Yakub Kweli. Harlow has not publicly responded, though his laid-back personality suggests he may simply let the jokes slide. Monica, released on March 13—coincidentally Harlow’s 28th birthday—is a nine-track project with no guest appearances. Its stripped-down approach reflects a personal and deliberate pivot. This pivot challenges listeners’ expectations and highlights Harlow’s evolving artistic voice. Whether fans embrace this new direction or push back, it marks a defining moment in his career.
Diddy’s Legal Team Aiming For ‘Immediate Release’ In New Legal Petition
Diddy truly is the definition of “Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop.” The disgraced mogul is pushing back against his remaining prostitution charges in the hopes of having his charges dismissed. His legal team is arguing that the sentence he received for prostitution charges was far too harsh. On Friday (Mar. 13), according to court documents obtained by TMZ, Diddy’s lawyers filed an appeal noting that he was already found not guilty of sex trafficking and RICO charges. That said, he received a sentence that was, per his lawyers, “four times higher than normal,” for his prostitution-related convictions. Diddy’s lawyers call that 50-month sentence a “perversion of justice.” The attorneys also claim that the judge in Diddy’s case, Judge Arun Subramanian, engaged in what is called “acquitted conduct” sentencing, which is “the practice of increasing punishment based on rejected allegations. ” The Bad Boy founder’s team is asking the appeals court for Diddy’s “immediate release and grant a judgment of acquittal or at least vacate and remand for resentencing.” NEWARK, NEW JERSEY – SEPTEMBER 12: Diddy performs onstage during the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards at Prudential Center on September 12, 2023 in Newark, New Jersey. Purple lights washed over the crowd as 50 worked the room, tossing cash and pacing the stage. Then a woman near the front lifted her phone high above her head. Across the screen, in bold white letters, were four words: “I HATE DIDDY TOO.” A 12-second clip captured the mogul’s reaction. At first, 50 scanned the audience with a neutral stare. He squinted as he read the message. Recognition hit instantly. His face cracked into a wide grin. He pointed straight at the woman, nodding with approval. Without missing a beat, he flung a handful of bills in her direction. The crowd erupted. Cheers bounced off the walls as 50 kept smiling, clearly amused by the public co-sign.
Claressa Shields Doubles Down On Legal Action Threat Against 50 Cent
Amid the ongoing online drama between Claressa Shields and 50 Cent, the professional boxer has doubled down on her threat of legal action. For the past several days, the G-Unit founder has continued to fuel rumors that Shields has cheated on Papoose (who’s also beefing with 50 at the moment), with Miami rapper Maserati Bud. Most recently, he shared a video from a blogger with the username @Gesiha305. According to the video, Shields has been involved with the rapper, whom the blogger refers to as 50’s “homeboy” for quite some time. She also shared a few photos of the pair looking quite cozy together. “First, this situation started New Year’s when @50cent decided to disrespect me and Papoose unprovoked, which led to rap beef & Papoose dissed him,” she wrote in an lengthy X post on Mar.14. “Rather than responding through music like a true artist, he chose to make false claims about me and create a narrative suggesting that I had a sexual relationship with someone I have never been involved with in any capacity—no romantic or sexual contact whatsoever. Given his platform and influence with 38.9 million followers, now legal action is being pursued.” View this post on Instagram Shields Threatens To Sue 50 Cent Over Cheating Allegations Not long after Shields’ declaration, 50’s post seemingly disappeared. The allegations, which haven’t been proven true or false, appear to be just part of the fallout between Papoose and 50. Things kicked off when the Power creator shared an AI-generated image that face-swapped Shields and Papoose. In the caption, the Power creator not only took shots at the pair’s appearance, but he also claimed that Shields had cheated on Papoose with Maserati Bud. Shields hit back at the wild claims in an Instagram Story post. She shared a screenshot of an AI-generated response to the question, “Can you sue someone for saying you slept with someone else?” The generator responded with, “Yes, you can sue someone for falsely claiming you slept with someone else through a defamation lawsuit…” Shields then seemingly threatened to sue the G-Unit founder, writing, “@50cent you getting sued, you can’t lie & put bodies on me,” she wrote.
Cardi B Praises Minneapolis Protesters During Concert: ‘Thank You For Your Resilience’
During her recent tour stop in Minneapolis, Cardi B made a point to applaud those in the crowd who participated in the anti-ICE protests earlier this year. For several weeks, the organization violently occupied the city, leading to multiple raids, as well as the deaths of several individuals, including Renee Good and Alex Pretti. “You are such a strong city, ” Cardi said to the crowd. “I been seeing what’s going on in the news, and we wanna say thank you for your resilience [and] your resistance.” As the crowd roared, Cardi continued, “I don’t know why muthaf*ckas came to this city. Y’all n*ggas is not p*ssy. I don’t know why they came over here, they must not know how y’all give it up.” According to FOX9 in Minneapolis, at the height of “Operation Metro Surge,” at least 4,000 federal officers were deployed to the city. Following backlash from residents and multiple protests across the country, thousands of agents were withdrawn; now only a “small force” of around 400 agents remains. Nur-D, told Rolling Stone back in February. The Twin Cities rapper told the outlet he woke up ready to enjoy a “regular day.” However, after witnessing a flurry of social media posts about the anti-ICE protests happening at the time, Allen realized he needed to join his fellow Minnesotans. Allen, with his wife by his side, attended the protest; however, it didn’t take long for things to take a turn for the worse. Not long after arriving, Allen was chased, violently slammed to the ground, and maced by ICE agents. “My name is Matthew James Obadiah Allen,” he screamed, pinned to the ground, “I have done nothing at all….I’m a United States citizen.” Allen, who was eventually released from detention, noted that while he feared for his life, he wasn’t going to “help” agents make the situation into something it wasn’t. He added, “This is grabbing someone in the street who has done nothing wrong and killing them, and if that’s what we’re doing — I’ve already seen you do it today — that’s why any of us are even here right now. Most of us would rather be doing what we love to do on a Saturday morning.”

Keke Palmer’s Awkward Fan Interaction Ends With Surprise Proposal
While hosting an SXSW event, Keke Palmer had an awkward interaction with a fan, to say the very least. The now-viral incident took place during what appears to be a panel, according to footage shared by TMZ. Amid the conversation, a man approached the stage with a small, black box in hand. As attendees started filming the man, he can be heard asking the Nope actress for her hand in marriage, which she immediately shut down. “I can’t marry you,” Palmer says. “I don’t know you. I’m so sorry.” Despite the man’s pleas, Palmer stood firm. At one point in the video, Palmer suggests the moment could be part of a prank, but it doesn’t appear to be the case. Not long after, the man was escorted away from the stage by security staff. The conversation quickly resumed after the man was removed from the building. EXCLUSIVE: Keke Palmer gets a surprise proposal from a random guy at SXSW in a very awkward moment. pic.twitter.com/aMq87UzgwJ — TMZ (@TMZ) March 13, 2026 The Dangers Of Parasocial Relationships The moment was mild compared to a situation like Rihanna’s, whose Beverly Hills home was recently shot up by a fan; it still speaks to the dangerous nature of parasocial relationships between celebrities and their fans, as well as trolls. According to Psychology Today, parasocial relationships are “one-sided emotional bonds where individuals invest their time, effort, energy, emotions, and feelings into a well-known media figure, such as a celebrity, influencer, or fictional character from a book or movie, who is not aware of their existence.” While typically harmless, some fans’ admiration can go too far and even turn fatal. One of the most infamous cases of this is with Mexican-American singer Selena Quintanilla-Pérez. Often referred to as the “Queen of Tejano” Music, Quintanilla-Pérez was shot and killed in 1995 by Yolanda Saldívar, the president of her fan club and manager of her boutique.
